A 5-day training of trainers was organised in Piraeus in September 2017 in order to empower and train the trainers for the effective and efficient delivery of the pilot MAMIDI course for enhancing capacity of LG in the  area of migration and diversity management, which has been placed in Moodle virtual learning environment.

IDEC hosted 14 trainers from 4 partner countries (Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey and Greece) representing the following organisations: University of Kosice, ASTRA - Association for Innovation and Development, TREBAG - Consultancy and Training, PROVEST Consulting, Department for the Support and Social Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees of the Directorate of Social Solidarity & Health of the Municipality of Athens.

Two study visits were organized, one to the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (ADDMA) of the Municipality of Athens and one to the 2nd High School of Intercultural Education at Ellniko.

The main topics of the training were the following: Managing migration & diversity, Refugee crisis, Intercultural education & training, Training for employment – Case studies/ Examples.
